Jobelan Evenweave 28 Count by Beijer is a fine embroidery fabric made for counted-thread stitching. Its evenly woven construction has 11 threads per cm, equivalent to 28 count, providing a regular foundation for cross stitch and other counted embroidery techniques.

The Jobelan 429 range combines 51% cotton with 49% modal. Beijer confirms both this composition and the 11 threads per cm weave for the fabric.

Modal is a semi-synthetic textile fibre made from the harvested cellulose of beech trees. It belongs to the rayon family (alongside standard viscose and Lyocell/Tencel), but it is specifically engineered to be an upgraded, high-performance version of traditional viscose. Because it is derived from a natural plant source but processed using an advanced chemical spinning method to turn the wood pulp into fine threads, it bridges the gap between natural and synthetic materials.

This Denim shade provides a distinctive blue background for your stitching. It can create striking contrast with white, cream and pale threads while also complementing nautical designs, florals, decorative motifs and contemporary counted embroidery.
