Jobelan Evenweave 28 Count by Beijer provides a smooth, regular foundation for cross stitch and other counted-thread embroidery. The fabric has 11 threads per cm, equivalent to 28 count, giving stitchers a finer alternative to traditional Aida.

Made from 51% cotton and 49% modal, Jobelan 429 combines these fibres in an evenly woven embroidery fabric. Beijer confirms both the 11 threads per cm construction and cotton-modal composition for its Jobelan 429 range.

Modal is a semi-synthetic textile fibre made from the harvested cellulose of beech trees. It belongs to the rayon family (alongside standard viscose and Lyocell/Tencel), but it is specifically engineered to be an upgraded, high-performance version of traditional viscose. Because it is derived from a natural plant source but processed using an advanced chemical spinning method to turn the wood pulp into fine threads, it bridges the gap between natural and synthetic materials.

This antique white shade offers a softer alternative to pure white. Its gentle neutral colouring makes it particularly useful for traditional samplers, vintage-inspired embroidery, florals and designs where a bright white background might feel too stark.

Each pack contains one 50 x 70 cm pre-cut piece of Jobelan Evenweave 28 Count. The generous size gives you flexibility for larger embroidery projects or for dividing the fabric to suit several smaller designs.
