The Prym MAXI Braiding Star makes it easy to turn yarn, cord and other suitable thicker strands into neat decorative braids for your textile craft projects.
Made from natural wood, this simple braiding tool lets you work with up to seven threads to create colourful cords and straps. The MAXI version features 4 mm wide grooves, making it suitable for thicker wool threads and leather bands.
Use the finished braids to create friendship bracelets, decorative bag handles, bookmarks, glasses straps and other textile accessories. You can also experiment with colour combinations to create coordinating cords for handmade bags, sewing projects and other crafts.
The Prym MAXI Braiding Star measures approximately 95 mm in diameter and 15 mm thick. Eight slots around the outside organise your strands as you work, while the central opening allows the developing braid to pass through the star.
The braiding process follows a repeating sequence, making this an accessible way to explore cord making without complicated equipment. Instructions are included, and Prym also provides a video demonstration which can be useful when learning how to position and move the threads.
A rubber piece for temporarily securing the threads is included with the Prym MAXI Braiding Star.

Instructions for Use
Arrange your chosen threads through the centre of the braiding star and position them in the slots as shown in the enclosed Prym instructions.
Move the strands between the slots in the specified sequence, rotating the star as required. As you continue, the strands form a braid through the central opening.

Care Instructions
