This unfinished wooden ring is a versatile base for textile crafts, especially Dorset button making and decorative hand sewing projects. Made from solid beech and fitted with a brass eye, it provides a sturdy and smooth foundation for wrapping threads, yarns, and fabrics.
The unfinished wooden ring is ideal for creating Dorset buttons, festive decorations, wall hangings, and handmade ornaments. Its smooth surface allows threads to sit neatly, making it particularly suitable for button making techniques where even tension and coverage matter.
You can use this unfinished wooden ring as its intended purpose (to fit on a curtain pole that’s 25mm diameter) or to build layered stitched designs, wrap with embroidery threads, wool or fabrics, or incorporate into mixed textile crafts, including crochet and macramé. The attached brass eye makes it easy to hang your finished piece, whether for seasonal décor or handmade gifts.
Each ring is sold individually and comes loose in a simple paper bag, keeping packaging minimal and practical.
