Pack of 10 flat button mould rings with etched guide lines and a 2.5 mm rim (washer-style design). The photos show only five rings per pack for clarity, but each pack you receive contains 10 rings.
These rings are made from 2 mm birch plywood, precision laser-cut for accuracy and a smooth edge. The guide lines help you space your stitches evenly when wrapping with thread or fabric, making them perfect for creating Dorset buttons, Zwirnknöpfe, or other traditional and decorative button styles.
Each pack includes a single size of your choice from the following:
- Size 1: 30 mm inner × 36 mm outer
- Size 2: 24 mm inner × 30 mm outer
- Size 3: 22 mm inner × 28 mm outer
- Size 4: 19 mm inner × 24 mm outer
- Size 5: 16 mm inner × 22 mm outer
- Size 6: 13 mm inner × 18 mm outer
- A mixed-size sample pack (one of each size) is available separately – ideal for beginners or for practising different button styles.
Care information:
Wooden button moulds are not suitable for washing. We recommend attaching finished buttons with a removable pin or clip so they can be taken off garments before washing.
Note on finish:
Because these rings are laser-cut, a fine dark residue may be visible on the edges. They are wiped before packing, but if you plan to use very light threads (white, cream, pastels), a gentle wipe with a slightly damp cloth will prevent any residue transferring onto your thread.
