Jobelan Evenweave 28 Count by Beijer gives counted-thread stitchers a fine, regular fabric for cross stitch and embroidery. With 11 threads per cm, equivalent to 28 count, the even weave helps you position counted stitches accurately across your design.
Jobelan 429 contains 51% cotton and 49% modal. Beijer confirms this fibre composition alongside the 11 threads per cm construction for the range.
Modal is a semi-synthetic textile fibre made from the harvested cellulose of beech trees. It belongs to the rayon family (alongside standard viscose and Lyocell/Tencel), but it is specifically engineered to be an upgraded, high-performance version of traditional viscose. Because it is derived from a natural plant source but processed using an advanced chemical spinning method to turn the wood pulp into fine threads, it bridges the gap between natural and synthetic materials.
The Olive shade provides an earthy green background that can become part of the overall character of your needlework rather than simply sitting behind it. It is particularly attractive for botanical, woodland, wildlife, floral and nature-inspired embroidery, as well as traditional samplers and decorative counted-thread projects.
Each pack contains one 50 x 70 cm pre-cut piece of Jobelan Evenweave 28 Count, providing a useful amount of fabric for individual projects.
When using Jobelan for counted cross stitch, check your pattern to establish whether the design should be worked over one or more fabric threads.
Please check our colour disclaimer page before purchasing, as screen settings can affect how the fabric colours appears.
